I am a seasoned Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in individual and group therapy; working with clients within the Birth-5, Child & Family, Adolescent, Adult, & Senior populations. I understand and value that each client I meet with has their own story, culture, traditions and background, so our work together will be tailored to fit your needs.
I became a Therapist because I have always been curious about human behavior (including my own), what makes people tick, people's experiences, human suffering and the overall existential reasoning for our being. I come from a hard-working family that values education and is comprised of many family members within the medical field, so going into the field of mental health and Psychology was an easy decision for me.
I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Arizona State University. While maintaining a full-time class schedule and working two jobs, I volunteered in a research lab on campus where we conducted studies and analyzed data related to human emotion. Upon completion of my Bachelors, I proceeded to earn my Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling Psychology at Grand Canyon University; which concluded with a practicum at a local integrated healthcare agency where I provided therapeutic services to children, families, adolescents, adults, and seniors through individual and group therapy.
I value community and all the inner workings that contribute to ours. Equality and justice are at the forefront of my values, which to me extends to humans, animals, and our Earth. I approach life with love, compassion and curiosity so that I may move through life with the openness to learn and grow, while also being able to teach those around me who are open to listen.
Outside of my practice and professional endeavors, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing and producing music, photography, drawing and painting, visiting art galleries and museums, and traveling.
I have spent many years working hard to make a difference within our community's mental health, so I thank you for taking the time to explore what I have to offer and I hope to hear from you so that we may make your personalized experience a special and successful one.
